Spring Volunteer Opportunities

In addition the many sign up geniuses that come and go under this tab, there are a number of committees functioning this spring to plan/organize events.  Below is a sampling along with email addresses for folks you can contact if you would like to be involved.  Thanks for considering!

  1. Have a passion that you would like to share with our 2nd-5th grade students?  Considering hosting a club on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays from late February/early March to early May.  Some popular ideas with students include chess club, soccer club, running club, minecraft club, legos club, dance club, photography club, etc.  Other ideas are welcome too.  Contact Principal Molinaro if interested.
  2. We will be welcoming over 100 new students to Woodbrook Elementary next year from Greer and Agnor Hurt.  Want to help us plan a variety of activities for these families to show them how happy we are to have them join our community?  Email Jen Smith.
  3. Most folks serving on this year’s PTO board are in their second year of a two-year term.  Interested in helping to recruit new Board members?  Contact Ellen Powell.
  4. This years Fun Fair and Silent Auction will be on Saturday, May 12th from 4-7pm.  We have several support positions open for the largest fundraiser of the year.  We have folks working on Games & Prizes, Ticket Sales, Silent Auction, Publicity, Concessions and Volunteer Recruitment.  If any of these areas interest you, please reach out to Jen Smith.
